Jeanni Kanzler, OTR/L
Jeanni Kanzler is a licensed occupational therapist with over 20 years experience. She has worked in a variety of settings developing fine motor, visual motor/perceptual motor, reflex integration, and sensory processing skills in all populations.
Courtney Van Alstine, OTR/L, Lead Therapist
Courtney Van Alstine is a licensed and registered occupational therapist with a passion for pediatric therapy. She received her Masters in occupational therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed a graduate assistantship at the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders. Courtney has achieved certification in the Learn Play Thrive (LPT) approach for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as the Get Permission approach for feeding. Courtney strives to be a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, and she loves the variety in her current position at the outpatient clinic in Knob Noster. Her greatest passion is creating a safe space for clients of all ability levels to feel seen, heard, and validated as they discover their strengths. She lives in Sedalia with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, baking, and making huge messes with her kids.
Maddie Roberts, OTR/L
Maddie is a licensed occupational therapist who received her master's degree from Missouri State University. She fell in love with The Pediatric Place when she completed a 3-month clinical rotation here before she graduated. Maddie was thrilled to be offered a position within the company and now enjoys working with children of all ages in the outpatient, school-based, and early intervention settings.
Carolyn Simpson, COTA
Carolyn Simpson is a certified and licensed occupational therapy assistant. She has over two years of experience in the pediatric setting. She found her love for pediatrics during one of her pediatric rotations during school. Carolyn’s loving, goofy, and crafty personality shows during her treatment sessions. She continues to learn and implement new interventions to assist every kiddo in reaching their full potential.
