Leann
(Special Education Teacher)
Leann Floyd is an accomplished educator with a passion for nurturing young minds. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Central Missouri (UCM) and later pursued a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at Southeast Missouri State University.
With two decades of teaching experience at the Sherwood Cass School District, Leann has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students, adapting her approach to meet their unique needs. Her dedication to education and her students has always been evident, and after taking a brief hiatus, she realized how much she missed the classroom and the joy of teaching. Fortunately, Leann has found her way back to the profession she loves, ready to make a positive impact on the lives of children once again.
Outside of her professional life, Leann has been happily married to her husband, Joe, for 42 years. Together, they have three adult children: Joe, Will, and Kristin. Leann also cherishes her role as a grandmother to her busy 2-year-old grandson, who brings even more joy to her life.
