Summer Therapy Programs

Summer is fast approaching!  It is a wonderful time to decompress, enjoy the sunshine, and have some fun.  We also realize it can be a time of regression.  We are excited to offer 5 SUMMER THERAPY PROGRAMS targeting just that!

Social Language Camp (Individual & Group Sessions)

Who:  Children ages 5 years - 12 years (group ages 5-8 and 9-12)

What:  3, 60-minute sessions per week (individual and group work with an occupational therapist and speech-language pathologist)

When:  Begins June 5th and runs through July 6th, 2023

Where:  The Pediatric Place (Clinton and Knob Noster locations)

Handwriting Help (Individual sessions, all ages)

Who:  Children of all ages

What:  3, 30-minute sessions per week (individual sessions with occupational therapist)

When:  Begins July 24th  and runs through August 18th, 2023

Where:  The Pediatric Place (Clinton and Knob Noster locations)

Cooking Class (This class is ideal for picky/cautious eaters.)

Who:  Children of all ages

What:  1, 60-minute session per week (individual sessions with occupational therapist)

When:  Begins June 5th and runs through July 14th, 2023

Where:  The Pediatric Place (Clinton and Knob Noster locations)

Reading Ready (The focus of this program is to use multi-sensory learning methods to teach reading sight words, phonemic concepts, and reading accuracy/fluency.)

Who:  Children ages 7 years+

What:  3, 30-minute sessions per week (Individual sessions with speech-language pathologist)

When:  Begins July 10th and runs through August 18th, 2023

Where:  The Pediatric Place (Clinton and Knob Noster locations)

Required:  Child's current reading level provided by their most recent teacher.

Daily Living Skills (Families Select 3 of the following to focus on with an occupational therapist:  Dressing; Laundry; Using planners/calendars/alarms; Personal hygiene (hair/teeth/etc.); Keeping bedroom clean and organized; Using household appliances safely)

Who:  Children of all ages

What:  3, 30-minute sessions per week (Individual sessions with occupational therapist)

When:  Begins June 5th and runs through June 26th, 2023

Where:  The Pediatric Place (Clinton and Knob Noster locations)
