Courtney earned a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders with a minor in psychology from the University of Central Missouri. In the early years of her college career, she sustained a traumatic brain injury and completed speech therapy rehabilitation. After her time as a patient, she became fascinated with the speech-language pathology field. When Courtney returned to school she immediately changed her major to study communication sciences with dreams of becoming a speech-language pathologist. She has always been passionate about children and worked at a local daycare while completing her degree. She has also worked in the Crest Ridge school district and provided services to middle school students with a variety of different diagnoses. Courtney believes there is nothing more rewarding than helping children gain confidence in their own voice and communication abilities!

She will be continuing her Graduate education in communication disorders and will graduate in the Spring of 2025. In Kaylee’s high school years her grandpa had pressure build up on his brain, and his memory was affected. He did not remember her name, or the name of his 3 children.
